Day
1- Quito or Guayaquil. After Immigrations and Customs,
a MILA representative will meet you at the airport and provide a
private transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
Day 2-
Galapagos! After flying 600 miles from mainland, you will land
at Baltra or at San Cristobal Airports. Then land transfer
to the ports of Puerto Ayora, or to Puerto Baquerizo, to board your
selected boat. Cabin assignment, introductory welcome talk,
and Naturalist’s briefing on the next day’s activities
are scheduled, followed by a welcome cocktail and dinner offered
by the captain.
Following days. Depending
on the number of days in the Islands(4,5,8), your boat will cruise
to such islands like Fernandina, Isabela, Floreana, Española,Santa
Cruz(Darwin Station) etc.
In order to preserve
the ecological integrity of the Islands, the government of Ecuador
selectively closes some islands every two or three years. Therefore,
it may be possible that at the time of your visit, one or two islands
may not be open to the public but you will visit representative
areas to explore, admire, and enjoy.
What to expect. The
Galapagos is ideal for family vacations, romantic/honeymoon stay,
group meetings with time for exploring, snorkeling with the penguins,
sea kayaking and selected hiking. Many photographic opportunities
to tape/register the flightless cormorant, marine iguana, lava lizards,
blue footed boobies, the Galapagos Tortoise, crimson throated frigate
birds, the albatrosses, and the dolphins... the list goes on!
Types of boats.Upon requesting
a reservation please identify the size of boat you prefer. Boats
with 4, 8, 12, 20, 30, or 40 cabins operate the Galapagos. Do
you have a cabin preference? Standard cabin, a junior suite,
