La Paz is a Colonial city and has many museums and churches. Overnight in La Paz. Day 2- Breakfast. Private tour of Valley of the Moon, a strange rock/mud formation. Lunch in the Valley. Afternoon walk downtown to visit the local markets. Overnight in La Paz. Day 3- Tiwanacupre-Inca ruins. Mysterious, majestic and high in the Andes, this civilization begun 1000 to 500 BC. Box lunch near the ruins before going to the shores of Lake Titicaca. Overnight in Huatajata. Day 4- Visit the burial towers in Kalatua. Visit a small agricultural community and have lunch in the open fields overlooking the Lake. Tonight visit the Alajpacha Native Observatory. Overnight in Huatajata. Day 5- Take a hydrofoil to visit two islands in the Lake: The Island of the Sun and the Island of the Moon. Lunch in the town of Copacabana. Overnight in Huatahata. Day 6- After breakfast back to La Paz. Visit the Cathedral, Presidential Palace, Art Museum, and the Museum of Local Musical Instruments. Overnight in La Paz. Day 7- Private transfer to the airport. Enjoy an extended stay to visit other cities, [Santa Cruz,Oruro,Cochabamba] or continue to neighboring Peru,Chile or Brazil, or private transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
