BTR CANCELLATION POLICY
  1. ALL cancellations are to be made in WRITING and RECEIVED within the time specified. Cancellations received beyond departure date will not be considered. Please send all information to BTR/*M*I*L*A* Tours, 100 S. Greenleaf, Gurnee, IL 60031, USA.

  2. Land Revisions / Cancellation: For voluntary changes to the land portion after the initial deposit is received, there will be a revision fee of $50.00 per change, per person, per country. No voluntary changes are allowed 10 business days or less prior to departure. If you cancel your reservation, the following penalty fees per person apply:

    0-5 days prior to departure 100%

    6-14 days prior to departure $400.00

    15-30 days prior to departure $300.00

    31-59 days prior to departure $200.00

  4. Additional cancellation fees are subject to any assessment made by airlines, hotels, and tour operators, pertaining to their rules, regulations, special events or festivities, and out-of pocket expenses (fax, eMail, telephone calls, etc).

  5. Airline ticket penalties are determined by the specific carrier depending on the type of fare used when the tickets were purchased.

  6. Once the tour is in process, no refunds will be considered.

  7. Whenever possible, exceptions will be considered in view of unusual and documented circumstances. Any refund granted will be only for the sum actually recovered for the unused portion (tours/hotels). Claims must be received in writing within 30 days of termination of tour.

  8. For programs where applicable, the registration/tuition fee is NON-refundable.

RESPONSIBILITY CLAUSE

BTR/*M*I*L*A* Tours and/or its representatives and/or suppliers of services pursuant to or in connection with these itineraries shall act only as agents for the owners or contractors providing transportation, hotel accommodations, and sight-seeing arrangements for the tour program. They are not agents or employees of BTR or *M*I*L*A*. BTR nor *M*I*L*A* assumes no responsibility nor liability in connection with the service of any vessel, train, carriage, aircraft, or other conveyance which is used, either wholly or in part of its performance of its duty to the passenger, neither will be responsible for any act, error or omission, for any inconvenience, delay, damage, loss, accident, physical or emotional injury, or death to person or property howsoever caused or arising; nor for the delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason or any defect in any vehicle or through neglect or default of any company or person engaged in carrying out the purpose for which tickets, vouchers, receipts, orders or coupons, have been issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers.

Further, BTR/*M*I*L*A* accepts no responsibilities for any damage or delay due to sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, quarantine, weather, acts of local and/or foreign governments, disruptions due to social or political unrest, any other incidents over which agent has no ability to control or affect or by act of God. Nor can we control such factors as your physical or mental problems, your physical disabilities, your failure to obtain travel documents or your failure to follow travel instructions. In the event that it becomes necessary or advisable to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations may be made without penalty to BTR/*M*I*L*A*. Additional expenses, if any, shall be borne by the passenger. Land prices and schedules are subject to change without notice. All travel documents as well as compliance with U.S. and foreign immigration and customs regulations are the responsibility of the passenger. The passenger if U.S. citizen should contact the nearest Consulate or Embassy of the countries where travel is contemplated concerning any visa of passport requirements. The passenger should also make inquiry with the U.S. Department of State’s Citizen and Emergency Department in Washington, D.C. regarding travel conditions in the countries of destination during the period travel as contemplated. Airlines/Cruise Clause: The airlines/cruises concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during time passengers are not aboard their aircraft. Passenger tickets in use by the airline/cruise, when issued, shall constitute the sole contact between airline and the purchaser of these tours and/or passenger. Airline fares are subject to change without notice. BTR/*M*I*L*A* will endeavor to secure the required group size; however, should the number of participants fall below the minimum number necessary, we reserve the right to cancel the departure and will offer an alternate date and/or destination. The right is reserved to accept or retain any person as a member of the tour at any time. All services are subject to the law of the country in which they are provided. Partial or full payment of the tour and/or tuition fee is deemed to be acceptance and consent of the above conditions.   Revised October 2000.
